What made the imam victorious was his faith, his fearlessness, his leadership, his wisdom, his irfan, his tazkiyah, purity of his soul ... as-salamu alayka ya ruhallahI like to conclude with the fact that this week is the anniversary of victory of Islamic revolution in Iran, that this happened 36 years ago. SubhanAllah, like yesterday I was one of those millions of people on the streets of Tehran demonstrating against Shah and welcoming Imam Khomeini to Iran and waiting for him at the University of Tehran. SubhanAllah that this was a miracle, the biggest revolution in history of faith in 1400 years. And this happened because of a faithful and courageous determined and disciplined leadership and at the same time dedicated and devoted nation.Ayatollah Khamenei, Imam Khamenei is very capable of carrying out this mission ... there's some times when he makes prophecies and he says things definitively, this is going to happen. You and I, again, we take that as our marching orders, we move in that direction. And if you can have an ummah ... an ummah that would march at the direction of its leader, all the leader would have to do would be to point in a direction ... we move in that direction, all of our capacities, capabilities, strengths, energies are pushed and focused in that direction.We need to be able to introduce people to the example of Islamic governance and of Imamah that we have, which is in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and that will not be accomplished unless people understand who Imam Khomeini actually was.He was Khomeini the Great, and his revolution was universal. It was a rising up for delivering the message of Allah and seeing it actually implemented within the society... Allah's laws implemented and obeyed on the personal level but as well as on the societal and on the political level.So what happens is these individuals are definitely being guided, and Allah selected pure Sadat, these individuals. One day we'll understand who these people were. One day. Even now, years later, as I, as a Hauzah student, go over and just read the history of Imam Khomeini, even stories that I had read before, who was this man? We're gonna say the same thing about our Wali, Imam Khamenei. We're gonna see who this man—Subhana Allah—who this man was.The students of Imam Khomeini one of them is Sayyid Hassan Nasrullah, one of them. Train people to become giant killers.Imam Khomeini had a very deep belief in Muharram... if you knew what it was like at that time, that speech of the bravery of Imam Khomeini... the people came out saying either death or Khomeini.Now, the beautiful thing about Quds Day is that we have that honor of saying Labayk to Imam Khomeini. Imam Khomeini, before the establishment of the revolution, we all know about Quds Day. He established Quds Day. That's one of the Baqiyat As-Salahat for Imam Khomeini.The real solution is when the teachings of the Anbiya, the teachings of God, are there in society. It's not just in our hearts, but rather that Islam needs to rule. The godly need to rule. The Anbiya in their time, after them, the Aulsiyya, now in our time, the godly, the Fuqaha, Imam Khamenei. The masses are so frustrated because they're trying. They're talking to their elected officials. They're engaging them in conversations. What they're finding is that each one of them has been bought out by AIPAC. Some of them would rush out with Israeli flags before they would rush out with an American flag. Those people are listening to the money. They know who pays their checks and their bills. The system is flawed. Political Islam, the Islam where the Anbiya and the teachings of the Anbiya are in society, is the solution. So one part of it, yes, on a personal level, we do need to address the inner Nafs, but the other part is that for you and I to be brave and to talk to people, God needs to rule our lives politically in order for this misery to end.We all have heard the stories of Imam Khomeini. Imam Khomeini. May Allah raise him with the Ahlul Bayt, the man who showed us the way. Imam Khomeini had so many amazing things about his personality, but one of them was that inner peace, that lack of fear, absolute bravery, never shaken, never the moment too big that was there in the life of Imam Khomeini. And if you remember, I shared this previously. Our leader, Imam Khamenei said this,The thawab of our recommended acts to others. Let's say you make the niyyah of Sayyid Hassan or Shahid Qasim or Imam Khomeini or all of the mu'mineen. Allah doesn't take anything away from you. You can make niyyah for every believer who's ever existent, Allah is not going to make it less for you.So Iran was itching for this. Those commanders, believe me, now that the martyr can see the face of God, the martyr's not worried. They're in a good spot. They're now the guest of Sayyid Hassan. They're the guest of Haj Qasim. What were we waiting for? They were itching.Why is it that the Islamic Republic, at its inception, it threw out the Israeli embassy, and then it gave it to the Palestinians? In the beginning of the revolution, why did Imam Khomeini establish the Day of Quds? Is it an agenda, an Iranian agenda spreading the Iranian empire? It's a Quranic principle. For us, oppression is a red line. Oppression. Zulm, it can't happen. Not on our watch. It's not Shia or Sunni. Oppression. This is why Hezbollah and Iran were fighting and dying in Bosnia. Were they Shia in Bosnia? Fighting and dying.we're talking about somebody who the Wali of the time, Imam Khamenei, said, "This is my friend." The Wali of-- the deputy of Imam Mahdi said, "My friend, Hajj Qassim Soleimani."The second thing that I would like us to do is our leader, he achieved the ultimate reward. So as you've heard before, we've learned from Haj Qasim, if you want to be a shaheed, you have to live like a shaheed. And this wali of Allah lived like a shaheed for 86 years... His leadership for 36 years, taking the ummah up past the traps of the enemy, building a machine that would be ready to welcome in the Mahdi.Haidar, Haidar. With Khamenei that path had illuminated. ... The son of Fatima has left the tyrants shaken. ... How Haidar lifted Khaybar, the world liberated. We march with truth as the flag has been elevated.For our leaders Imam Khomeini and Sayyid Ali showed us how to destroy you and to never be coerced... And from the sacred body of Sayyid Ali, the flag has passed from his blessed hands. And under that flag belonging to the Mahdi, united we stand to put an end to the rule of Satan and his hordes.Now, by the way, it was our responsibility as an ummah to mention him and mention the name of Amir al-Mu'minin. Our Our leader, Sayyid Hassan, he taught us He coined the word the Hussein of the time. Right? That's That's our job. Right? He didn't care if it differed from everything everybody else says, whatever Quran and Sunnah say. Not intimidated at all...Maybe you've heard where the Savak came over to him, they said, look, we don't want you to say that Islam is in danger. Don't say Israel is the enemy. Those things that they said, he would say the opposite. Imam Khomeini wasn't intimidated.It's an honor to be here with you, you Mu'mineen and Mu'minat, you sons and daughters of Imam Khomeini. It's an honor for us to be able to be here together to recite the poetry that was just mentioned, for us to try to practice true Islam. We owe our lives to that great man, Imam Khomeini.trying to follow the walaya of the Ahlul Bayt and the wali of the time, Imam Khamenei, and trying to push towards the coming of the imamI also want to congratulate our Ummah, our esteemed Maraja, our leader, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, and of course, most importantly, our master, Sahib Az-Zaman.So now let's remind ourselves of this man, Ayatollah Sa'adat Parvar. Remember, this is a line of irfan heavily praised by the leader... Shaykh Qasim Suleymani reminds us and may Allah bless him and raise him with the Anbiya. He says the method of leading of our shohada, our shohada, and they got it from our ulama, from our urafa.the greatest greatness of our beloved and martyred leader Sayyid Ali Khamenei was that amongst all of the people who walked this earth in this era, he was the greatest of students of Aba Abdallah al-Hussein alayhis salaam and of the Holy Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa alihi... as we mourn his martyrdom, we are honored that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala had bestowed such a magnificent favor upon us for allowing us to live in the era of Sayyid Ali Khamenei, and we renew that thanks and that gratitude to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that he is now allowing us to enter into the era of Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei.I mean, these are lessons that we learned from Imam Khomeini. That religion, Islam, was not a religion which was only prayer and fasting, but had nothing to do with this world. He also taught, he revived true Islam and reminded us that as Muslims, we have a responsibility to the oppressed. Now, the leader has said this. Those people who made the bay'ah to Imam, they have made bay'ah to Rasulullah. That's the Islam of Rasulullah. ... If these individuals, when they obey an imam who is hadi—he's a guide from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala—if they've made bay'ah, for us inshallah, in our time that bay'ah to Imam Khomeini, then Allah has promised, even if we have some small issues in our personal lives, Allah has promised to forgive that. The other thing that the leader says is this. He says, “Don't get disheartened by the idea of a few people abandoning the caravan of the Inqilab.”Before we continue any further, I would just like to extend my condolences to you all and to the entire ummah on the death anniversary of the great Imam Khomeini, rahmatullahi alayh. Inshallah, if we can request from everybody to please recite Surah Al-Fatiha and Surah Al-Ikhlas on the soul of Imam Khomeini and on the souls of all of the ulema and shuhada who gave their lives for the movement that Imam Khomeini began.Inshallah, before we welcome our dear teacher, just one more of the statements of the leader, Imam Khamenei, may God preserve him: We were truly dead and the Imam gave us life. And we were misguided and the Imam guided us. And we were heedless of the great responsibilities of the Muslim human being, and so the Imam woke us up and he guided us to the straight path ... to be true followers of Imam Khomeini.Now before I start to mention a few words about Imam Khomeini, and for those of you who have studied some of his history, you may remember that they used to refer to Imam Khomeini as the idol breaker, but-shikan. Imam Khomeini, brothers and sisters, it's hard for us to describe or hard for us to gather just what an incredible individual this man was, what he did for Islam.Imam Khomeini came and he spoke, and brothers and sisters, if you knew what it was like at that time, that speech of the bravery of Imam Khomeini, after he spoke and he connected all the dots, Israel, the Shah, Islam is in danger.the person who's telling this story is telling about the time when our leader imam khamenei because brothers and sisters some people who get the honor of visiting imam khamenei sometimes we would talk to the brothers and the brothers were honest did you feel anything did you sense anything... a deep sense of tranquility indescribable a deep sense of tranquility there's a reason why god chose somebody to be the flag bearer of islam true story this is before he was our wali he in this stage of the story he's the representative of imam khomeiniwe know this is a real struggle this isn't a historical event then we have to look now for the Wali of the time of the time Imam Khamenei is the person who all of us we should be pushing for supporting protecting defending explaining so that the world gets liberatedAfter that, I would like to also extend my congratulations to our respected Maraja, and especially our dear leader, Imam Khamenei, and then the entire Ummah of Muhammad, sallallahu alaihi wa alihi wa sallam.trying to complete the work that had been started so long ago by our Anbiya and then after that the A'emma, and then in our recent times Imam Khomeini those Mu'mineen, the Shohada, and now under the wise leadership of Imam Khamenei and the Mu'mineen who are supporting him globally.of Imam Khomeini. The greatest student of Imam Sadiq in the current era is Imam Khomeini and you and I we have the tawfiq to also be remembering him, his contributions what he's done for us. You see our leader has taught us, Imam Khomeini said this, he said, you who today make bay'ah to Imam Khomeini You have made bay'ah to Rasulullah Muhammad . Today, the path that leads to Imam Sadiq is the path of Imam Khomeini.Once the leader was explaining he said how was it I'm using his words now that Imam Khomeini could move mountains he could do things that impossible how could he do that there's a couple of principles that you and I we need to learn from Imam Khomeini and then we in our personal lives in our social lives in our family lives when we're trying to be soldiers of the Imam trying to work on our spirituality.Our maraja, the leader, Imam Khamenei, our master, our master Sahib az-Zaman alaihi s-salatu wa s-salam, and of course each and every one of you.English translationAnd His Eminence the Leader, the Guardian Jurist, may God preserve him, said: Since the Awakening cannot be suppressed, the enemies of humanity may kill this scholar and that one, and this believer and that one, but they cannot suppress the Awakening that the Leader drew from the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, from al-Hasan al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him, and from the Master of Martyrs, peace be upon him, an Awakening spread by the blood of the martyrs and blessed and strengthened by the prayers of the mystics.Original, Arabic

And that is a movement that has begun and continues. It is only up to us to fully realize all the implications of this message of Imam Khomeini. May Allah, the Exalted, elevate his ranks, andAgainst oppression, Imam Khomeini has a famous quote where he says that if the Islamic Brotherhood comes to the fore among Islamic countries, such will become a great power which none, none of the global powers will be able to cope with. That is very powerful to think that if all of the Muslim countries, in our Islamic—just the Islamic Brotherhood—were to unite, then we would be unstoppable ... may we all be inspired by the words of Imam Khomeini, and may we all work amongst each other to create the ummah that he died for, inshallah.I think that's the biggest lesson that Imam brought to us, and that's what you've seen taking place really, the Islamic Republic and what took place. And even though, of course, in Iran continue to pay the price for its independence, but it is definitely better to be independent and to even have some hardship than to live under an oppressor. Anyway, thank you guys very much and inshallah, may we all go the way of our Ahlebait and of course and always remember what Imam Khomeini brought to this world.And reminds of the incident with Imam Khomeini where he was asked with whom he plans to overthrow the Shah, and he said with the children who are playing in the streets. So inshallah these children will grow to be the supporters of Sahib al-Asr wal Zaman, and they will carry the banner of Imam Khomeini.Our leader Imam Khamenei said something; it's really deep... that those who made bay'a to Imam Khomeini have made bay'a to Rasulullah. Those who've made bay'a to Imam Khomeini, who consider themselves the sons and daughters of Imam Khomeini, and practically speaking they've embraced his wilayah—these people have made bay'a with none other than Rasulullah.Shahid Qasem Soleimani, one of the brothers who was captured during the imposed war, is telling this. He was a young man. He said, I was sixteen years old. I went over to the army base. He says, and I just really wanted to go over and participate in the battle ...
