English translationSo this is a promising future for us from the Messenger of God, may God's prayers and peace be upon him: that this land is an Islamic land, not merely an occupied or usurped land whose people defend it, no, rather it is part of the very essence of the Muslim's creed, because the Muslim believes in what has come in the Noble Qur'an, whether he is a Muslim who is Arab, Chinese, American, Japanese, Russian, or of any nationality existing in the world today. The Muslim's creed is that it is land endowed [as waqf] for the Muslims; it is never permissible for anyone other than them to rule that land. It is not merely that they should liberate it from the occupier, no, rather it should return to the endowments of the Muslims, and none but the Muslims shall rule it, none but the Muslims, until the Caliphate comes, which the Messenger of God, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, gave glad tidings of.

إذاً فهو مستقبل واعد لنا من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن هذه الأرض هي أرض إسلامية، ليس ليست مجرد أرض محتلة أو مغتصبة أهلها يدافعون عنها، لا، بل هي من صلب عقيدة المسلم، لأن المسلم يؤمن بما جاء في القرآن الكريم سواء أكان مسلماً عربياً أو صينياً أو أمريكياً أو يابانياً أو روسياً أو أي جنسية في العالم موجودة الآن. عقيدة المسلم أنها أرض وقف على المسلمين لا يجوز لغيرهم أبداً أن يحكموا تلك الأرض، ليست أن يحرروها من المحتل لا، بل أن تعود إلى أوقاف المسلمين ولا يحكمها إلا المسلمين، إلا المسلمون حتى تأتي الخلافة التي بشر بها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم.

English translationAmong the most important matters that protect the ummah (the Muslim community), unite the ummah, and ward off oppression and humiliation from the ummah, and abasement from the ummah, is this wilayah (religious guardianship/authority), which must be embodied by the scholars who safeguard their religion, those who, I mean, possess the knowledge of the Family of Muhammad: the courageous one, empowered to act (literally: "with an outstretched hand"), who does not accept humiliation. I mean, now if we look at Iran, I mean, if Iran did not have this strength of resolve and the Sayyid Leader, may God preserve him, the whole thing would have fallen apart (literally: "the ornaments would have all come unstrung"). This is comprehensive and exclusive, as they say in logic, when they define something: that this Imam acts according to the wilayah of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, and he is empowered to act. Who is it that wants to humiliate Iran? Who is it that, from Iran, wants to make a deal that would involve humiliation of the Muslims? He stands in his way. He says to him, "Come here. Whatever you may be, president of the republic or not, this you are forbidden to do." Why? Because it entails humiliation of the Muslims, humiliation of the Shi'a of the Family of Muhammad, and the Shi'a of the Family of Muhammad are never humiliated.

This great pride makes us an embodiment of the saying of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him: "Jihad is a gate among the gates of Paradise that God has opened for His chosen friends. It is God's impregnable armor and His secure shield. Whoever abandons it out of aversion, God clothes him in the garment of humiliation, affliction encompasses him, and he is brought to abasement and degradation." [quoting the Commander of the Faithful, Ali] We, the Shi'a of Ali, will never accept this. This is our position. This is the price of our following the Ahl al-Bayt (the Prophet's family), peace be upon them. Let these tyrants desist.
