Rejection of Church-State Separation

Who are those faithful people who dare take this power of hadeed into their hands to fight out those who want to obstruct the established deen of Allah, … who wants to perpetuate the system of tyranny, of exploitation or of discrimination? Then you have to fight them out. So this ayah, as I told you, is very clear, rather naked ayah on the revolutionary process that even force is to be used. Don’t hesitate to say that actually. But who will use the force? People. … And when they have come, now they weld them into a party, into a force, train them, make them habitual to a discipline, … and be ready to sacrifice everything for the cause of Allah. Then only a wrong and unjust system can be uprooted, and the just social order given by Allah can be established.

Now you give this pledge of listening and obeying to the Amir of that party. There can be no third condition, theoretically. Either the Islamic state is present or it is not present. Either the Deen of Allah is dominant or it is not dominant.

They have to learn it's the system of Yazid, not just Yazid at that time... Anyone who Allah hasn't chosen—Allah, God, hasn't chosen this person as a leader—he hasn't sanctioned their right to rule, and this person assumes the right to rule even if they're praying and fasting, let alone secular governments nowadays.

there's no such thing as separation between church and state in Islam. Islam is Islam. Islam is the deen of Allah and the deen of Allah is one. And Allah governs at the individual level and He governs at the collective level. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala should not be only confined to the individual. It's the same Allah who created everybody. So it is the same Allah who should rule in the land, who should rule over all the people. So at the political level we must declare that sovereignty belongs to Allah. Sovereignty is to him and him alone. In Al-Hukmu illa lillah... And number two, no legislation shall be made repugnant to the Quran and the Sunnah. No legislation in any land of Allah's lands where his deen is established should be against the Quran and the Sunna.
