A more recent example, because July 12th was the anniversary of the 33-day war, and I remember the interview that Shahid Qasim Suleimani gave before he became Shaheed. It was a very long interview that he gave. He explains a little bit about how that war was a result of taqwa. The Hizb, they had a promise to keep. They were supposed to free the prisoners, and there's no way—how are you going to deal with Israel? They said, "Okay, we'll take care of that. What we're going to do is do a daring raid, capture an enemy Hummer, take them out alive, and we'll trade them for our people." And they went over and they did this operation—daring, alhamdulillah: go in, strike, come out, drag the Israelis out.

The lesson that we learned from the resistance was this: Those who were taken from a military academy and then placed in charge of troops were not as successful as those who had come up through the ranks.
